MerchantShield is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with Google LLC, Alphabet Inc., Google Merchant Center, Google Shopping, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.

The name "Google Merchant Center" and related terms are trademarks of Google LLC. We use these terms solely to describe the platform our tools are designed to work with.

No Guarantee of Outcomes

We cannot and do not guarantee any specific outcome from using MerchantShield. This includes but is not limited to:

  • Account reinstatement: We cannot guarantee that a suspended Google Merchant Center account will be reinstated, regardless of the changes made based on our recommendations.
  • Suspension prevention: We cannot guarantee that your account will not be suspended, even if your compliance score is high.
  • Appeal success: Our appeal text generator creates suggested language based on best practices, but the success of any appeal is entirely at Google's discretion.
  • Compliance accuracy: While we strive to keep our audit criteria current with Google's published policies, Google may update its requirements at any time without notice, and our tools may not immediately reflect all changes.

    All decisions regarding Google Merchant Center account status, product approvals, policy violations, and account reinstatement are made solely by Google at its discretion. Google's review processes are proprietary and not publicly documented in full. Our recommendations are based on publicly available information and industry experience, but they may not cover all factors Google considers.

    Automated Modifications

    When you enable MerchantShield's auto-fix features, our system will make automated changes to your Shopify store, including but not limited to creating or modifying pages, updating theme files, and adjusting product data. You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving all changes made to your store. We recommend reviewing all auto-fix modifications before submitting an appeal to Google.

    Professional Advice

    MerchantShield is a software tool, not a professional consulting service. Our recommendations should not be considered legal, business, or professional advice. For complex compliance situations, we recommend consulting with a qualified professional who specializes in e-commerce compliance.

    Limitation of Liability

    MerchantShield shall not be held liable for any losses, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Decisions made by Google regarding your Merchant Center account
  • Changes made to your store by our auto-fix engine
  • Reliance on our compliance scores or recommendations
  • Any suspension, ban, or restriction imposed by Google or any other platform

    While we make every effort to ensure the accuracy of our audits and recommendations, we do not warrant that our tools are error-free or that our compliance criteria are exhaustive. Google's policies are complex and subject to change, and there may be compliance requirements that our tools do not currently check.
